Lego has started to offering a blind box toy to their fans in their Lego 8683 Minifigure series 1 at May-June 2010. The Lego Minifigures series 1 containing 16 unique mini lego figures, which has included Tribal Hunter, Circus Clown, Magician, Deep Sea Diver, Robot, Nurse, Spaceman, Demolition Dummy, Forestman, Cowboy, Super Wrestler, Zombie, Ninja, Cheerleader, Skater and last but not least the Caveman.

Here's the mystery bags from Lego Minifigures serie 1:

Here's the Lego official advertise picture:

As I said earlier, Each minifigure comes in a sealed “mystery” bag, so you never know which minifigure you might get. And each minifigure has its own special accessories, display plate and collector’s leaflet. Inspired by movies, sports, history and just everyday life. I will give a closer look to each minifigures series 1.

1. Cheerleader
“Gimmie an L! Gimmie an E! Gimmie a G! Gimmie an O! Yaaay!”

Cheerleader Minifigure. It's quite unique, because it has pom-pom
that actually attached to her hand. I don't know what is "M"
stand for, maybe it's a collage from Lego world. :)

2. Zombie
“Briiiiiiiiiicks…”

Zombie Minifigure. I love this minfigure, because it
could use as a prop for my photograph. i'm not sure
why would he carrying a chicken drumstick and
a shovel. Beside, the quote is saying "briicks..".
What will he do with those bricks? LOL

3. Robot
“Not building does not compute!”
A Futuristic Robot Minifigure. It has one real hand and
a robotic hand. I think he's C3P0 far brother or something.

4. Magician
“Hey presto, allez-oop – and it’s gone!”
Magician Minifigure! It coming with 2 choice of
head accessories, a hat and wet hair. He carrying
a stick, and I think he's an old-school magician.

5. Deep Sea Diver
“Blub blurb glub?”

A Diver Minifigure. He's wearing a goggle and a  oxygen tube.
Actually it coming with a feet flippers. But, sadly if I put it on
the minifigure, it can't attach to base stand.

6. Forestman
“Have no fear, for I am here!”
An archer minifigure. I think minifigures inspired by Robin Hood.
I love the detail and the finishing of this minfigure.

7. Ninja
“Like a shadow in the night, I – oops!”

8. Nurse
“Don’t worry, you’ll feel all better after this!”
Nurse Minifigure. I feel safe enough with just seeing to this
minifigure. She's carrying a patient description board
and a syringe! Afraid of needle?

9. Skater
“Bet you can’t do THIS!”
A skater minifigure. It has cool hair, cool clothes, and cool skateboard!
It coming with a real skateboard, that actually play-able. Cool.

10. Spaceman
“Greetings, strange creatures. I come in peace!”
Spaceman minfigure. It has a futuristic space suite and carrying
a laser gun. I like the helmet detail, nice and sleek.

11. Super Wrestler
“I will defeat you – with HONOR!”
A fighter minifigure! I think it has lucha libre  free fighter
theme. Wearing a lucha libre mask and ready to fight!

12. Tribal Hunter
“If you’ve lost it, I can find it!”
An indian minifigure. I don't know whether  the  indian
is a she or he. He/she carrying the arc and a bunch of arrow.
 Love the feather detail.

13. Cowboy
“Yee-haw and yippie-ki-yay!”
Cowboy minfigure. A badass cowboy is here. Carrying double
revolver made him more badass. The hat is remind me of Indiana
Jones Minifigure that I don't afford to buy :(

14. Circus Clown
“Honk honk!”
A clown minifigure. One of the most favourite  series 1
minifigure. I really like the hair detail and the clothes.

15. Demolition Dummy
“Disassemble! Demolish! Deconstruct!”
Demolition man Minifigure. I think he experienced a lot of
crashed test. I'm not sure why does he carrying a wrench?
To repair himself, maybe?

16. Caveman
“Me build, therefore me am!”
A cavemen minifigure. It has awesome beard that  become one
with the hair.

As I've I said earlier, this 8683 Lego Minifigures Series 1 is a blind box toy pack that coming with mystery bags. So you will never know what you'll be picking on the pack until you open it up after you've bought it. But I've got a site that based on Indonesia that would provide a complete set of the minifigure. But, I think the price is little bit high right now, because as we know it launch at May 2011. At the time it cost IDR 25.000 / minifigure. So, if we calculate it cost: IDR 25.000 x 16 pieces = IDR 400.000. Right now, after I've checked at the different store and online store it cost IDR 70.000 - 100.000 / pieces.

In one box contains 60 mystery bags. Here's the minifigure classification according to its rarity :
Commons (5 minifigs per box)
  • Ninja
  • Deep Sea Diver
  • Demolition Dummy
Uncommons (4 minifigs per box)
  • Robot
  • Spaceman
  • Forestman
  • Cowboy
  • Magician
  • Caveman
Rares (3 minifigs per box)
  • Cheerleader
  • Circus clown
  • Tribal Hunter
  • Super Wrestler
  • Skater
  • Nurse
  • Zombie
